"Farming is the worst drug you will ever do, you will ride it till the end..."
"The application of SoilCare on this farm has by far surpassed all our expectations, it will pay for itself 5 fold!"
Crop Rescue / Jason Dudgeon, Dudgeon Farms
Jason Dudgeon from Dudgeon Farms, is a farmer by day and a firefighter by night. Jason shared with us his story of a complete crop rescue he vowed to not give up on. "You're gonna go through stuff in farming and it just kicks ya and take you down and it's gonna kick ya in the teeth again... And you're gonna wanna walk away but you don't you're gonna come back for more." Jason said. He feels that his drive to press on during difficult times in life and in farming is by knowing that there is a bigger reason why he is there and why he is doing what he's doing.
Jason's 62-acre early-planted soybean crop was hurting real bad, it had a severe iron deficiency. Jason shared his horror stories of not being able to find any type of foliar iron because of the pandemic. As a last resort, on the verge of declaring the crop a disaster and cutting losses, Jason decided to top-dress with some SoilCare. The results overwhelmed him as he wasn't expecting to see a positive change. It was a complete crop rescue in just seven days after application.
Sometimes you reach your wits end with a crop and you just want to throw in the towel. Sometimes, there's just nothing else you can do other than take your kick in the shorts, declare your loss, plow it under and try again next year. Jason had reached that point with his 62-acre soybean field. The crop had a severe iron deficiency – iron chlorosis. He'd exhausted his resources trying to find an iron-rich nutrient to apply. There was nothing suitable. But he was open-minded and decided to apply SoilCare. To say he was impressed with the results is an understatement.
