Our Vision

Our entire team at Wind River Microbes is committed to helping those involved in agriculture. We are farmers and ranchers, too. We understand the challenges, the risks … and the rewards. It's in our blood and DNA. We understand the core values behind agriculturalists. Just as you do, we want our kids, grandkids and their grandkids to have it better than we did.

Our Beginnings

One of our board members, "JM," was involved in formulating microbial inoculants from lactating dairy cow manure over 32 years ago. For a basic understanding of JM's premise, read the Texas Monthly article called "The Old Man and the Secret". It was a long six to eight month process to cure the Salmonella and E. Coli using this base method. But JM saw first-hand the benefits of putting these microorganisms back into the soil.

When JM returned to his southern ranch, he wanted greener pastures for his cows, but he didn't care to wait almost a year for the microbial inoculant to cure out. What did he do? He sought out the help of a microbiologist to help him formulate something different. Together, they hand-assembled a formulation that was organic - naturally-sourced from plants, soils and animals. It took years to develop the perfect combination and species of microorganisms that cohabitated well, but they got 'er done.

JM has been treating his cow pastures with his soil formula for many years. He thought since it worked so well on soils, what would happen if he fed it directly to cattle? Then the experimenting began. He started adding it to his water troughs for his cattle and noticed the weight gain and health improvement almost immediately. Sick calves were getting well. Healthy calves were growing like weeds. Mama cows were producing more milk. Weaning weights were heavier. Less money was spent on antibiotics. Profits increased with less inputs. To say the least, life on the farm improved. But he never dreamed he'd be selling this across the world and helping other agriculturalists enjoy his same benefits.

Growth & Goals

Wind River Microbes Inc was incorporated in 2017 by Jackie Dayberry. With an agricultural background, Jackie always had an interest in microbiology, but pursued a degree in Ag. journalism instead. After using JM's formula on some sickly cattle she managed, she started researching and learning the effects of microbes in the gut and soils. She convinced JM that offering these formulas to other farmers and ranchers could help the producers and agriculture industry, as a whole. And it could help them improve profits while turning a higher quality product.  Wind River Microbes Inc was born.

Today, Wind River Microbes is proud to offer a well-balanced line of products for farmers, ranchers, home gardeners and landscapers. We also have specialty products for oil remediation and wastewater clean-up. All of our products are environmental and eco-friendly. Our goal is to replenish the biological tools that God gave us in the beginning.

"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

Gen. 2:7

Microbes are essential ingredients in the physical characteristics of every living thing. The human body, which originated from soil, is about 85% microbes in composition.
